Photography – Focusing on mundane – what a student in the first year might see. I visited the location where I lived as an international first year student. I also visited the area around the Zernike campus where many people study.
Experimenting with newly learned, more advanced techniques. Followed tutorials by LYH studio, but adapted it into my own style and layout. Focus on experimentation rather than perfection, readability and context. (yet)
It is more pleasant to hit your head on the wall over and over again than to try to smooth shapes using the smooth tool in InDesign.
My next focus needs to be connecting the context of the text with the imagery skills I learned. So far I have only experimented with the visuals and not with how to make these visuals make sense. In the next week I need to plan what text will be on each page and start designing in context.
I also need to take photographs that will more closely reflect the text.
