Target audience
My idea is to create a magazine targeted at international students moving to Groningen. I want to create and informative piece with facts about Groningen, important information about living here, and moving, it will include tips on how to navigate life in the city and country.
Proposal 1 – Informative, readable, neutral
Process
I created simple and readable layouts, I experimented with a different type than i typically use, more specifically, the serif font. I used some film photos of Groningen and made them black and white to give a more cohesive feeling to the layout.
I also tried adding some color to the images but I didn’t really like the outcome.
Proposal 2 – Experimental, Dynamic
Process
I started off with a minimalist layout. I used the same film pictures, I really like the grainy feel they have. After some brainstorming I decided to revamp my idea for this proposal and add shapes to create more dynamic layouts. I also experimented with the text and tried to visualize it more as an object, which made it quite hard to read.
