For this observation, I sat in the canteen at first planning to see what students usually buy. But then I realized that since it’s a vegetarian canteen, it would be more interesting to find out how many students are actually vegetarian themselves and what other diets people follow. So I created a survey in one of the Minerva group chats to ask about students preferences.
I’ve been vegetarian myself since I was 15, was vegan for about two years and recently went back to being vegetarian. Because of that, it’s a topic I’ve spent quite a lot of time thinking about and researching, so it’s something I’m personally interested in.
Out of the 70 people that took part in the survey 35 people stated being omnivore (50%), 24 vegetarian (34,4%), 5 vegan (7,2%), 3 gluten-free (4,3%) and 3 dairy-free (4,3%).
